Level 3 Diploma in Management

Level 3 Diploma in Management is for learners who work in, or who want to work in management roles such as Section Manager, First Line Manager, Assistant Manager, Trainee Manager, Senior Supervisor and Junior Non- Commissioned Officer.

It gives learners the opportunity to:

● develop and demonstrate technical and wider sector-related knowledge to underpin competence in the job roles stated above. This includes principles of equality, diversity and inclusion, the principles of leadership and management and the principles of people management.

● develop and demonstrate a range of technical skills and behaviours that support competence in the job roles stated above. This includes managing personal and professional development, supporting equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace and managing team and individual’s performance.

● have existing skills recognised

● achieve a nationally-recognised Level 3 qualification

● develop their own personal growth and engagement in learning through the development of personal, learning and thinking skills (PLTS).

Price: The price of this course is £720 (VAT Exempt)

Assessment: This qualification is assessed by a portfolio of evidence stored on our electronic platform which must cover all assessment criteria of the units selected. The portfolio of evidence will be assessed and internally quality assured by the Centre. The qualification will be delivered through a mix of blended learning using our online learning platform, face to face visits in the workplace.

Progression: Individuals achieving this qualification may wish to progress onto a higher level management qualification such as the Diploma in Management at Level 4 or 5.

Delivery: The course is a totally flexible roll on roll off programme which is built around your job role and commitments and can be delivered over 26-52 weeks, the end date will be negotiated with you at the beginning of the course. The course can be delivered in your workplace on a one to one basis or in group/one to one workshops, through blended learning using our online platform or a combination of the above whichever is best for you.

Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Management and Leadership

Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Management and Leadership is designed for learners’ to develop core middle management skills and competencies. It also introduces learners to strategic management concepts, preparing those who aspire towards senior management roles.

The qualification gives learners the opportunity to:

● develop and demonstrate occupational competence to undertake and progress into middle management roles in a range of business settings, for example: senior manager, area manager, head of department, stakeholder manager, business development manager

● develop and demonstrate current technical skills and sector related knowledge to underpin competence in the job roles stated above, this includes topics on: providing leadership and management, contributing towards strategic plans, designing business processes and managing strategic change

● recognise existing management and leadership skills

● achieve a nationally-recognised Level 5 qualification

● develop own personal growth and engagement in learning.

BTEC Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership

The BTEC Level 5 Diploma extends the work related focus from the BTEC Level 5 Certificate and forms the technical knowledge component for the Level 5 Management and Leadership Higher Apprenticeship.

This qualification gives the learner an opportunity to:

● develop role-specific and wider technical knowledge to support competence in roles such as Manager, Senior Manager, Director or Head of Department through the study of leadership and management principles, strategic business planning and decision making, and a selection of themes in areas such as management activities, business processes, risk management, business performance and improvement.

● develop a foundation of knowledge and understanding at level 5 based on the Management NOS and complements the outcomes in the Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Management and Leadership

● pursue own personal development or progress onto other professional qualifications at level 6 and above, such as the Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management

● extend their programme of study through a complementary NVQ or other related vocational or personal and social development qualification
